FROM A WIFE’S PERSPECTIVE:

with Shelley Martinkus

We’ll also have a special session with Shelley where she’ll share from a wife’s perspective:

  • what wives look for to see trust being built

  • how to ensure she is heard and understood

  • what actually helps when there are triggers (not just enduring it)

  • and what redemption can look like

We’ll also have a Q&A session with Jason and Shelley to answer all your questions.

Wondering if you should attend? Don’t take our word for it; here’s what past attendees had to say:

JUST THE FAQS:

  • We ask you to show up open handed, eager to receive encouragement, coaching and guidance. Please don't come to the event angry and defensive. We'll expect you to treat the other attendees and our staff with respect and dignity. We want to lead you into something new, not try to talk you out of something old.

  • Yes. We believe in accountability as well as intimacy, so everyone will have a roommate.

  • No, this event is for married men (though we understand some might be separated). Our heart is for redeemed marriages, and everything we teach in the weekend will have a touchpoint or application to marital restoration.

  • Not as a matter of scheduled time. However, this is an intimate setting, with margin built in. So making space to have some 1:1 conversations with the staff is part of our intention.

  • Yes. We’ll confirm with her that you are on site. We’ll also send a few updates through the weekend that help her have a sense of what we are doing and teaching, along with conversations questions for when you get home.

  • You can expect us to be vulnerable, authentic and direct. You can expect practical guidance - without a bunch of fluff. You can probably also expect us to make some mistakes.

  • What you learn at this event should augment your existing work, and only serve to further facilitate your healing process within your existing sources of help. At this workshop you won’t receive counseling and it isn’t staffed by therapists.

  • This is a distinctly Christian event and our belief is that ultimate change is a function of our co-conspiring with Christ in the process of recovery. Further, we believe recovery is synonymous with sanctification. In other words, to be in recovery is to become like Christ.

  • We do not offer refunds. Registering secures your spot in terms of lodging and meals, as well as informs our staffing needs, travel arrangements, facility rental fees and client management. If you need to cancel, we'll try to fill your spot up to 3 weeks prior to the workshop, and if we can fill the spot we’ll credit you the registration fee less $400.
